easter basket
I saw a fun alternative for an Easter basket on Pinterest and knew I wanted to try to make one. I had everything I needed to get started. I got out a mason jar, pipe cleaners and some ribbon and got to work. I was happily surprised that it only took me a few minutes to make one. A complete set of step by step directions can be found here. I decided to use a white chocolate bunny (which was a little tricky to fit inside the mouth of the jar) some edible easter grass, and pink, green and orange jelly beans. I am so happy with the results, that I had all the supplies at home, and that it only took me a few minutes to put together!!! This is a great gift for a teacher, hostess or neighbor. It would also be perfect filled with some flowers for May Day or Mother's Day. I will definitely be making these again. What are you making this year for Easter? Any fun ideas or alternatives to an Easter basket?

that's a wrap
I am having some technical difficulties today. Our laptop died so I am currently unable to upload any pictures from my camera. Instead, I thought I would share this darling Peter Rabbit bag that I saw at Barnes and Noble. If you think the front is cute you should definitely check out the back! I am going to pick one up for my baby boy and will fill it with some fun things to use as his Easter basket. I already grabbed some Peter Rabbit baby food that I found at Starbucks and some Annie's Cheddar bunnies to go inside too! A carrot rattle might be fun too! For more ideas about what to put in a baby's Easter basket you can check out this post that used another favorite Easter book as the inspiration. This would also make a darling baby gift!

baby's basket
Even if babies can't eat candy you can still make them an adorable Easter basket. I choose a few of our favorite items, some of which will be in my little ones Easter basket on Sunday. Yellow is neutral enough for a boy or a girl and this would make an adorable baby or shower gift for someone expecting around Easter. The book is the inspiration for this basket. Owen loves all of the candy in his basket, especially his yellow marshmallow chick that is the same color as his favorite yellow blanket. Include a soft yellow blanket, and a stuffed marshmallow chick and some cute chick shoes and the basket is complete. ( Last year I wrote about my other favorite Easter book. You can read about it here. )
