Today is the first day of Spring! Last week when I was pruning my forsythia bushes I took some of the branches and stuck them in a pitcher of water. The buds were tight, but after a few days they opened up and the yellow buds now spread sunshine all over our dining room. This is a fun (not to mention free) way to decorate for Spring.
